After a successful career with Saudi Aramco, in May 2008 he assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dragon Oil, a publicly listed company on the London and Irish Stock Exchanges which operates in Turkmenistan and Yemen. He is a board member of SPE and several E&P companies and a member of the advisory board of the Earth Science school at Stanford University and the Petroleum Engineering school at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals. He holds a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University in California, USA. Al Khalifa’s interests span petroleum engineering, leadership and human resources. He has been a keynote speaker on global mission and People First culture in many international forums.

She most recently served as a Foreign Service Officer for the United States Department of State in the Middle East and Central Asia. She has also served as a Senior Project Manager for American Airlines and a Project Engineer for a global construction management company. She has traveled to or lived in over 80 countries and completed community development projects in many global locations. She holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Norwich University and an MBA in International Business from the University of Massachusetts.

Mr. Brown's representation focuses on the construction industry, assisting clients with dispute resolution associated with complex construction issues on governmental, private sector and public-private partnership projects. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and South Texas College of Law. Mr. Brown is admitted to practice in Texas, Virginia and the District of Columbia.

He retired from Texaco Exploration Inc. in 1996 at Denver, Colorado. He was inducted into the University of Tulsa Engineering and Applied Sciences Hall of Fame in 1995 and served as a member of the Industry Advisory Board. Mr. Koerner is involved in community affairs including serving as Board Chair of the Samaritan Institute and subsequently served on the Foundation Board. He is the Immediate Past President of the Board of the "Colorado Ethics in Business Alliance," that annually honors ethical business practices in the workplace. He has written several papers on business ethics published by JPT, Harts E&P and Petrotecnia ( Argentina). Mr. Koerner was awarded the Minoru Yasui Community Volunteer Award in 2004 sponsored by the Denver Foundation and was honored with the 2005 ChevronTexaco Public Service Award. He will be awarded Honorary Membership by SPE and AIME in November, the highest award afforded by both societies. Mr. Koerner earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa and a Master of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University.

He is the incoming President of TMS (The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society) for 2008/2009. A graduate of Drexel University (BS) and MIT (ScD), Mr. Apelian is the recipient of many distinguished honors and awards; he has over 450 publications to his credit, and serves on several technical and corporate boards. He is well known for his work in metal processing, as well as his interests in societal issues.

He is also an Associate Professor of Statistics and Mathematics in the Faculty of Administrative Sciences at Kuwait University. He served previously as the Minister of Trade and Industry in the government of the State of Kuwait and Chairman of the Financial and Economic Committee in Kuwait's Parliament. Al-Zalzalah has held many academic positions at Kuwait University, including Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs, Research, and Graduate Studies, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, and Chairman of the Quantitative Methods and Information Systems in the Faculty of Administrative Sciences. He holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of Colorado, a Master's from the University of Georgia, and a Bachelors in Computer Science and Mathematical Statistics from Kuwait University.

William is involved with all aspects of water engineering/science and is well recognised throughout the Australasian Region, having received several awards including a prestigious Churchill Fellowship and the Da Paepe – Willems Award. He is recognized by the United Nations as an expert in hydrodynamics and hydrology, having recently worked on regional capacity building projects in Jakarta, Indonesia for the IAEA. In addition, William sits on several water related panels and committees including the IUCN's Commission on Ecosystem Management. He has currently or has previously been involved in water related projects in Indonesia, Vietnam, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Australia and Singapore. |
